The Commons

The Commons is designed for residents who enjoy an independent and active life.  The innovative and contemporary design offers physical comfort as well as accessible and spacious apartment living. Residents may choose from six different apartment styles. All apartments feature a cozy kitchenette, large and roomy living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms.  Unique to The Commons is the inviting combination of color, décor and natural light which make walking through the corridors and sitting in the gathering spots just as enjoyable as being in your own apartment.

A full calendar of recreational, social and religious activities promotes social involvement and deepens personal connection with others thus creating a welcoming community.  Residents feel pampered by the many amenities throughout the Village.  Classes and projects are often enjoyed in our Arts and Crafts Studio. Bible study groups or classic movies can be enjoyed in our Movie/Theater Lounge. The Computer Alcove is a busy area, and The Library provides a sitting area for quiet time or small group discussions.

An independent lifestyle may be enhanced and maintained through an array of available supportive services. When needed, residents may purchase personalized assistance from The Commons’ staff members. The Commons is licensed as an Assisted Living Establishment with the State of Illinois and therefore allows residents to receive help within the comfort and privacy of their own apartment. The staff in The Commons works as a team and naturally monitors residents in their daily life. We partner with families when physical and mental transitions occur and strive to provide well- coordinated support and options for their loved one during that time.
